ICon 2007 was in Portland, OR this year, where over 60 of us went to represent PNW, alongside members from all over the world - including a delegate from Taiwan! As a district, we hosted an amazing convention and set a standard for hospitality that future ICons will have to live up to. Besides being great hosts, PNW walked away with a few honors:
- The 2007-2008 Representative for Sub-Region A is Carrie Johnson, from the University of Idaho!
- Pauline Seng from the University of Puget Sound won the Distinguished Lieutenant Governor Award for her work as Rain Cap Lt. G.!
- Gonzaga University won third place in the Diamond Division of the Club Growth award, accounting for 34% growth since last year!
- The University of Puget Sound, on behalf of the rest of the district, was awarded a Tomorrow Fund grant of $1500, to be used towards the Jabreaka! project!
We also endured an intense House of Delegates, where PNW represented itself admirably despite widespread opposition. Regardless, we will continue to work together to ensure CKI's success. Thanks to all who made it to Portland, see you in Denver!
